Just a FYI don't think your gonna go for a boat ride down gains creek. I hope this cold weather system will impact our high shad population issue on lake Eufaula.

Vic and Thomas fishing with me today on lake Eufaula. We were struggling early on to even catch a fish then they turned on big time. After there quota of what they needed for a good fresh meal they threw the rest back to live another day. Had a great time gentlemen looking forward to our next trip. Fish caught 7 to 9 feet in 15 to 25 feet of water. Dead sticking was critical. #crappiecustomjigs #bonestixcrappierods .
It's was a enjoyable day with Lane and Abby bite was slow but the quality was impressive. Fish suspending in six to nine feet of water in 20 to 15 fow. Fishing slow is key in cold water temps when fish are lethargic. #crappiecustomjigs #bonestixcrappierods .
Just out looking around for some upcoming guide trips. #Crappiecustomjigs. Jigs preformed well on a post front day. For me that's when a bait really shows it's productivity. Get with Cory Carter you can find his information on his Facebook page. Also these are the toughest jigs I've ever used for plastic.
Has anyone ever tried to vacuum seal left over fried crappie. It was just a idea that come to my mind. Wondering what the best re-heat method would be.
Daniel wanted to focus on targeting large fish with live scope. Lake Eufaula is kicking some quality fish out, it sure has been enjoyable to watch. Caught our fish on lake fork jigs orange and blue have been working well.
Me and my buddy Red out having some fun gathering just enough for dinner and releasing the rest for another day. The quality and size of these Eufaula fish is great right now that's why you get out in the winter months for the big ones. Fish were roaming in open water only 4 to 10 feet down. The fish in 8 foot or above we're more active and willing to bite. The new live scope update is also amazing best screen I've had since I have owned my Garmin.
Eufaula kicked out some quality fish for a cold very windy day. Ed and his wife were tuff for hanging in there today. Winter time is the time for the big crappie. Water temp 39 degrees. Fish were roaming in open water from 6 to 12 feet in 14 to 22 feet of water. Dead sticking was the method with lake fork jigs. #bonestixcrappierods were also key to feel the light bite.
Lake Eufaula is turning on by the day. This year I predict Eufaula is gonna kick out some 3 pounders. I hope I'm right, They sure do have more shad to eat than they have ever had before.#bonestixcrappierods.
So excited to see this lake cottage project starting. The wife and I have been working towards this for about 3 years now. This is the dirt work for our Southend Getaway.
Jaiden his brother Jackson and his dad Patrick not photographed fishing with me today. It was a tuff slow bite but we manged to catch some good ones and enough to clean at the end of the day. Did not tear them up like we usually do but. Still enjoyed a nice day on the water with some good company thanks for bringing these boys down every year patrick.
Brian, Dan and Misty fishing with D&K Guide Service. Man we had a blast out there together this crew is always very entertaining. And most of them can fish well lol. Winter time schools are starting to get bunched back up. I have some availability this month if anyone wants to get in on the action.
Dustin and his sons, Graceland and Ryker, fishing with D&K Guide Service. Man we had a blast harvesting a mess of crappie. It was all about the boys catching them. Dustin and I just enjoyed watching them reel them in. Catch y'all next time!
Lynn, His son in law Mike and kids fishing with D&K Guide Service. It was a very slow start but they hung in there with me until the bite improved. Lynn has been fishing with me for over 12 years now. Caught these dudes deep in 22 to 32 feet of water right off the bottom. Chasing these critters all year long it's amazing to me how much you have to adapt.
Gary, Jim and Rodney fishing with me today, It was nice to get back after the crappie always have a good time with this rowdy crew. We caught some quality fish and they were supper deep like 24 to 30 feet off the bottom. Until next time gentlemen have a safe ride back to Kansas.
Kent Andrew and his buddy Frank fishing with me the last few days, We enjoyed the weather and each other's company but the crappie bite sure has slowed down on Eufaula lake. I threw the kitchen sink at them last few days and about 20 to 25 fish is all we could squeeze out of that lemon. We need a good cold snap to knock these shad numbers down then it will turn back on I suspect. Everyone have a good weekend I'm going hunting.
Chuck, klara and his sister fishing with me today and what a crazy day we had. Started on lake Eufaula had a very slow start due to the lake turning over and the girls got wet and cold. So we put the boat on the trailer took a ride so everyone could warm up. Switched up to some new water with only a few hours remaining in the trip and salvaged dinner. Got to love the fishing life just never know what the day is gonna have in store for you. Had a blast guys looking forward to our next adventure.
