AZ TRIAL CAMERA BAND FROM AN OUTFITTERS PERSPECTIVE: I'm in favor of banning cameras ONLY if there can be NO cameras allowed for ANY reason during any big game hunt. Being a full-time outfitter for 28 years in the state of Arizona & this being my only source of income to support my family it's vital we harvest trophy quality animals each and every year to procure future clients. With over 400 registered guides in the state and no real certification to distinguish between an "outfitter" and a "guide" the competition is fierce and trail cameras do play a big role in finding these trophy animals. My concern is not every outfitter that uses cameras will be playing by the same rules. With the current rule change as it is written, what's to stop an outfitter from paying a non-hunter to go run cameras before and during a hunt. Could the AZGFD prove that the camera was being used in the aiding or taking of wildlife? With an already understaffed and overbudget department, I seriously doubt it. Also would not the burden on the game & fish be increased greatly when the demand from hunters claiming that every camera they saw was being used in the aiding and taking of wildlife? Those outfitters who seek to circumvent the law would no doubt increase booking due to more quality harvest based on the use of trail cameras, while those outfitters playing by the rules would be at a severe disadvantage and will gravely hamper their ability to harvest trophy animals, resulting in far fewer bookings. Without the ability to ban every camera in the field during a big game hunt or having the resources it would take to investigate whether or not a trail camera is being used in the aiding or taking of wildlife will only lead to law-abiding outfitters and guides crossing a line that normally they would not cross. Full time guiding in Arizona is feast or famine and I believe the risk of not having enough future bookings to support your family could compel those to take measures to compete with those that seek to circumvent this proposed rule change. This is why it has to be all or nothing!

Well with 2020 coming to an end, I personally want to thank all the guides at Team ASG who worked tirelessly this past year & busted their butt's to make hunters dreams a reality! • Since the inception of ASG in 2013 we have assisted our clients to 70 + bucks over 200" with many others reaching over the 220, 230, & 240 mark. • What you guys have done in that short of time has really been remarkable & could not have been done without the following Team ASG members. Josh Corbin, Landon Wittwer, TJ Goodnow, Trevor Lathim, Eric Lathim, Jabe Warner, Josiah Scott, Steve Stayner, Collin Hutchings, Eric Martinez, Nick Escobedo & many others along the way. You guys are the core of the operation & have made ASG what it is today. • Here is to you & a New Year with lots of promise! • We are always looking for more quality guides & more importantly quality people. If you think that we might be a fit for you please reach out to us. Travis McClendon 928-300-6755 [email protected] www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Didn't have a wall tent to put this big buck in front of, so my camping trailer will have to do. Lol. Congrats Adam on a giant strip buck. www.ArizonaStripGuides.com www.ArizonaElkOutfitters.com
The weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful & since we got no place to go let it snow let it snow let it snow!
Love heavy bucks on the Arizona Kaibab Plataeu...Great hunt & even better clients. Congrats again Josh with this heavy suckered. Can't wait to do it again! www.ArizonaStripGuides.com.
Kevin's stud 2020 Kaibab buck is worth another look. #ZeroGuideFees paid for this $4,000 hunt with us. Who's paying for your next hunt? • Elk & Antelope application deadline for Arizona is right around the corner. Become a member before the deadline & when you draw Zero Guide Fees will pay for your next hunt. • www.zeroguidefees.com
Big congrats to ZGF member Travis Roberts & Team ASG guides Eric Martinez & Travis McClendon who harvested this stud 5x5. • Travis was a trooper on this hunt. After battling cancer & an infection Travis was determined to go on this hunt. I admit there were times I didn't think it was going to happen especially after passing up some pretty sweet bucks that I felt we shouldn't have. But Travis knew what he wanted and wasn't going to give in because of what I thought. I'm super glad it all worked out & he didn't listen to me... don't worry Travis we can fix the broken point! We look forward to our next hunt with you • Travis Story: Travis became a ZGF member 2 years ago & believe it or not drew a desert big horn sheep in his very first year. #ZeroGuideFees paid for his $5,000 hunt with Team ASG & he took home a one of the coolest rams ever. • Luckily Travis kept his membership in tact & drew a late season Kaibab hunt this year. This time #ZeroGuideFees paid $4,500 towards his hunt & he killed a whopper again with Team ASG! • All in all Travis saved over $10,000 in guide fees just by being a member. • Who is paying for your next hunt when you draw? • www.zeroguidefees.com www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to ZGF member Steve E. & Team ASG guide Josh Corbin who harvested this way cool 33" wide 8x7. • STEVE STORY: This buck must have been made for Steve. You see, he passed this buck opening morning but 9 days later this buck found his way into Steve's scope again. And even though he broke off a 6" flyer on the left side & 2 other points that wasn't enough to give this deer another pass. • Its great to know Steve was even able to hunt this year or kill such a cool buck. Steve lungs are failing and he had to wear a oxygen tank during the hunt. Is hunting ability was very limited but Josh & company did a great job staying patient & relocating this buck for a very memorable hunt. Congrats to all involved. • Steve signed up last year for the $349 membership, he was drawn in his first year as a member & we paid $5,000 towards his hunt with Team ASG. Not everyone wants a guided hunt but for those who do this is IT! SAVE AT LEAST $5,000 or more as a member when u draw. • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com www.ZeroGuideFees.com
Big congrats to hunter Cammy R. & Team ASG guide TJ Goodnow who knocked down this sweet 5x4 Kaibab buck. • Cammy did not waste anytime time on her hunt & put this one down in the first day. This was their target buck & if given the opportunity she was all in. Good shooting Cammy & congrats to all involved. • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to hunter Josh Vergos & Team ASG guide Josiah Scott who harvested the heavy 6x5 Kaibab buck. Everyone worked their butts off & it really paid off in every way! Thanks for being the best part of Team ASG! • Josh signed up through the Zero Guide Fees program this past year for just $175 (resident membership fee) . He drew a late season Kaibab tag in his first try & got this outstanding buck & his $5,000 7 day outfitted hunt paid for by Zero Guide Fees. Now that's called taking advantage of the program!! • You draw the tag, we pay for the hunt! www.zeroguidefees.com www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Huge congrats to hunter Justin B. & Team ASG guide Landon Wittwer who harvested this stud 8x5. • Justin hunted hard and held out against all odds to the last moment. This strategy paid off big time when landon glassed up this stud buck & Justin did the rest. • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to hunter Joe W. & Team ASG guide Landon Wittwer who harvested this great 8x7 strip buck. • Big bucks were hard to come by this year but Joe trusted Landon's intuition to revisit an area the had already been to several times before. It paid off big time with this stud buck. • This camp had amazing comrotory and Joe was a big part of that. Can't wait to have all of you back to do it again. Big congrats to all involved! • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to Mike E. who got his hunt ($5,000) paid for by #ZeroGuideFees & came away with this stud strip buck. • Mike only had 5 days to get it done because of his prior commitments. Team ASG guide TJ Goodnow had to take the gun away on the first buck they saw, but TJ was quickly out voted when Mike saw this 34 incher, he definitely was not giving this buck a pass. • Come hunt with us and pay NO guide fees just like Mike did. A simple $349 per year to join the club & when you get drawn #ZeroGuideFees will pay for your hunt up to 10 days. This is a $10,000 value and makes it possible for any hunter to use an outfitter. This levels the playing field & takes it from a "rich" mans sport to a ANY man's sport. Give us a call if you have questions. 928-300-6755 • www.ZeroGuideFees.com www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Congrats to hunter David T. & Team ASG guide Trevor Lathim who harvested this old 4x3 strip buck. • After almost wacking his giant target buck opening morning, Dave was determined to relocate him for a another chance. However, as the hunt was winding down with no sighting of him Dave decided to settle for this solid back up buck. • David & company were genuinely great guys with positive attitudes. A blast to have in camp & I sure hope we get another chance to do it all again. • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Thought we would interrupt our deer posting with a big old massive Arizona Strip Desert Ram. • Big congrats to Scott who took an amazing ram after waiting 30 plus years to draw. This bruiser is truly one of a kind. You just don't see to many true nelsoni rams with this kind of mass on the strip. • This ram could only be found on one little bench & there were no roads around to glass him up any other way. So the waiting game was one. We sat all day waiting on him to show up but he never did. However, the next morning he was exactly where we needed him to be and Scott did a great job closing the gap & downing this true nelsoni ram. • Thanks to Scott for letting us be a part and to the Team ASG friends who helped scout and find this ram before the season started. • www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to hunter Adam Kleck who harvested this beautiful strip buck with Team ASG guide Travis McClendon. • Adam only had the last 5 days of the hunt to harvest a dream buck and only about 5 seconds to pull the trigger. • Adam made an incredible shot as the buck ran through a small opening of 5 feet. Adam jacked in a bullet, through himself on the ground in a prone position and found the small opening through his scope, waiting for me to tell him to shoot or not. The buck gave him a 2 second chance & Adam did not disappoint. • We absolutely had a great time with Adam & his brother & both of them will becoming back as #zeroguidefees members. So they will never have to pay for guide fees again. • www.zeroguidefees.com www.ArizonaStripGuides.com
Big congrats to 15 year old Spencer B. & Team ASG guide Travis McClendon who harvested this stud strip buck. • It was a rough rut with the weather being so dry & most of the mature bucks were still by themselves. Case in point, when Team ASG guide Kevin Davis glassed this buck bedded by from 2000 yards away he was all alone and stayed bedded till dark. • Running low on light Spencer took aim from 360 yards with the buck still bedded. A well placed shot & the buck was going home with a very happy 15 year old. • Spencer & his Dad Kale were awesome to hunt with and truly would love to do it all again in the very near future. • Don't forget, you can hunt with Team ASG when you draw for NO guide fees. Devon got in on the action with this solid 4x4 from the Arizona Strip. Devon got to hunt with his dad & Team ASG guide Josh Corbin to fulfill a dream on the AZ strip. Congrats to all involved. • It was so awesome getting to share in the harvest of both these great bucks & to hunt with even better people! • Can't wait to have you guys back in camp to do it all again. Thanks for all the great memories! • www.Arizonastripguides.com
Big congrats to hunter Greg Devon & Team ASG guide Josh Corbin #antlertrader on this super solid 4x6. • Greg & his son got to hunt some of the biggest deer on the strip this year & with any luck they will get another chance to do it all again. Next time as #zeroguidefees members • www Arizonastripguides.com
