Reader Tip: Dangle Your Antlers for a More Realistic Rattle Tie antlers to a long piece of cord and lower them from your treestand. When you rattle them, the noise will sound near to the ground to cruising bucks, and the setup will help minimize movement in your stand. It’s worked for me. —James Tidwell Submit a tip at fieldandstream.com/tips.

I am from Brownsville, Texas, and I just the story on alligator gar. I really enjoyed it! I felt like I was 12 years old, reading a comic I had been waiting 3 months for. Hunting these beasts is quite the addiction in my parts. At $25 a box...I do retrieve my hooks.....

Quail and pheasant season is just right around the corner,, here I got a photo of quail in my yard eating bugs. They sure look big and healthy this year
Backed in the cedars as far as I could go, kneeled down in the cold wet snow, I hit the doe bleet a couple of times, when all at once a yote arise, a few feet away, he's staring at me, so I gave him a little git, shewee! Upon that reaction a buck I heard snort, took off in a hurry "abort, abort!" But in that hot moment the doe bleet enough, he couldn't resist the thought of that love. He came back around with wandering eyes, that's when he got shot, surprise, surprise! He fell to the ground and there his head lay, a 15 pointer hip hip hurray! I kneeled there in silence but at my dismay, he jumped up and ran off never found to this day. A story was told a year after this, "I saw an injured buck get hit on the road, we all stopped just to watch it get up and go, that buck must have a strong will to live, and he was the biggest buck we ever did!" The first hunt I remember and every since I'm hooked like a coyote hung on a fence!
You've lost a subscriber... This magazine subscription was for my 12 year old son... He is a hunting and fishing enthusiastic, so we thought this was a great reading option for him... I don't feel this type of article is what should be in a magazine such as "field and stream", what does it have to do with hunting/fishing??? I guess it's my fault for thinking an outdoor company was a good safe option without reading every copy 1st.... Never again.
