What a fun fall it has been. But it’s not over yet! The weather is changing and it’s time for bobber downs and back bouncing bites. Get out on the water! G.Loomis Beckman Nets
The sturgeon opener treated Dan well. Thanks ODFW for the opener.
Fun day with the folks from Alabama! People from the south are always so friendly. It’s almost drift boat season! Contact me if you’d like to get out and catch the best fighting salmon around.
A few nice chinook makes for a great day of fishing. Excited to see more coho in the river!
10 year old Alex with his first ever salmon today! Could not ask for a nicer day on the water.
These boys from Georgia sure know how to catch fish. They even promised me they would root for the University of Oregon over any S.E.C team except the Georgia Bulldogs!
Noah is back at it. Last year he caught his first salmon in about 15 minutes of fishing. This year it took him a little closer to an hour of fishing before he caught this beauty! Only if we all had his luck.
Bryant with his first salmon ever! A job well done. I don’t think it will be his last.
Just as the fish are showing up in the Columbia the season is almost over. Hopefully the last few days will be decent fishing with a river on the rise. Luckily the run is just beginning on the Willamette river. Contact me if you would like to get out and catch the best eating salmon around. 503-680-1429
Shimano has outdone themselves on this one! Sent me 2 Tekota 500HG LC reels, both labeled as the correct reel but one of them is for surly a 600 size!
It was a good day for Hunter, who caught his first ever steelhead. Before he caught this fish he said “your in luck when I go fishing I don’t get skunked”. The next cast he made he hooked this beauty.
These things are still a problem! Eating up sturgeon in numbers every day! Pathetic! Photos were taken in the West linn area on the Willamette. In about 2 hours we saw 1 sea lion eat about 4 sturgeon.
It’s a great time of year to do some catch and release sturgeon fishing. Incredibly fun for just about anyone. We do also have a sturgeon retention season above Bonneville damn starting January 1st. Give me a call and come catch one of these prehistoric creatures! Also don’t forget Winter steelhead season is just around the corner and so is Christmas. A fishing trip is a unique gift for your friends or family.
Ken and Peggy had a great day. They both caught their first ever salmon.
It was a good morning for Dylan. After a few chances he landed his first ever salmon!
When you can't get bit you have to put on the old tried and true. Shortbus Flashers always comes through. This poor fish bled out before it made it into the fish box!
Nothing like a good day winter steelhead fishing. Some people are happier than others when they catch one..
Was it good bait? Or could this chinook not resist the birdy drifter?
