Half-day float trips are a great choice for spring, summer and fall fly fishing. Choosing between a morning or afternoon float allows clients to get a taste for Colorado’s legendary fly fishing while still leaving time in the day for other activities. Early morning half-day trips are ideal for beating the heat and the crowds during busy summer days, while afternoon trips are a great way to soak in the sun and enjoy the beautiful weather out on the river. We run our half-day floats on both the Eagle and Colorado rivers. Rowed by our professional guides in a raft or fiberglass drift boat, you’ll explore these scenic rivers in search of hungry trout. Two anglers can comfortably cast from these boats, and reach areas that remain untouched by wading fly fishermen. Half-day float trips last approximately four to five hours.
