Anglers For The Cure

The 3rd Annual Anglers For The Cure- Research and Awareness of Prostate Cancer for all MANKIND  Fishing Tournament is scheduled for August 17th and 19th, 2017 at Rybovich Superyacht Marina, West Palm Beach, FL.

In 2016 we had an epic year with 67 boats and over 300 participants.  We raised over $25,000 in just 4 hours during our Captains Meeting because we had the best quality raffle and auction items.

Anglers For The Cure (AFTC) mission is to educate men about prostate cancer and the importance of getting their PSA screening (simple blood test) done sooner rather than later. That it's not only a disease that effects men in their “Golden Years” or men with a family history of cancer. 

My husband of 29 years, Reed Somberg was diagnosed at the young age of 54 (2009) after having his first PSA screening with no family history of prostate cancer. The cancer metastasized and he passed away in May 2014. Everyone admired Reed because he was a man that lived a full, healthy and happy life. I believe if he had had his PSA screening earlier, he'd be by my side today.

The donations will be tax deductible to you and will be distributed between the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Treasure Coast and Palm Beach County Hospice, Vital Flights and the Coastal Conservation Association.
