The Gopher Plantation offers diverse topology that provides the optimum wildlife habitat. Intensive management has created an abundance of wildlife seldom available to the public. Wiregrass ridges, palmetto flats, pine thickets and miles of river bottoms provides a hunter's paradise.
The plantation offers all types of hunting and fishing opportunities. They range from deer, turkey, wild boar, quail, chuckar, pheasant tower shoots, predator hunts, as well as bass, bream, speckled perch and channel catfish fishing trips.
The Gopher Plantation, located in southeast Georgia near Millwood, is comprised of 9,500 acres, consisting of cypress ponds, beaver ponds, ty-ty bays, numerous streams and the Satilla River meandering through hardwood bottoms. Arnold Bay, consisting of some 200 acres is centrally located within the compound and provides an ideal habitat and refuge for wildlife. The Gopher Plantation has been family owned and micro-managed for 20 years. Now open to the public, it offers superb hunting. With over 35 miles of roads and trails, the Gopher Plantation offers a truly unique experience.
