Fishing on Lake Erie!
Lake Erie, also known as the Walleye capital of the world, is the fourth largest lake of the five Great Lakes and the tenth largest globally. Lake Erie is the shallowest of the Great Lakes, with an average depth of 62 feet.
LighthouseThis lake contains a denser population of Walleye than any other large body of water in the United States. Walleye average 18-23 inches with some getting as big as 30-32 inches and weighing up to 16 pounds.
The western third of Lake Erie comprises the shallow flat basin known as the Western Basin of Lake Erie. With an average depth of less than 25 feet, the basin contains world famous walleye fishing grounds with numerous charter fishing boats operating out of it.
