How and when do I pay for my trip?
A 50% deposit per angler of the total package cost for each trip is due to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures within 10 days of booking to secure the reservation. Full payment for all Yellow Dog trips is then due 90 days prior to departure and start of trip. You can pay by personal check (which we are happy to accept!) or by calling us with a major credit card.
What kind of pre-trip information can I expect to receive once I book with Yellow Dog?
Here at Yellow Dog, we pride ourselves on providing the most detailed, intricate and in-depth pre-trip planning materials in the business. Trust us when we tell you that you’ve NEVER received the kind of detailed materials like the ones that we send out! When you sign up for a Yellow Dog trip, you will receive a complete electronic trip packet that includes detailed, relevant, and important information pertaining to the specific destination and package that you have booked. What if I need to cancel my trip?
In some cases (depending on the destination being booked) all trip deposits and payments are non-refundable. Other lodges will refund all or a portion of your deposit or payments depending on when you cancel your trip package. All cancellations must be given in writing to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. Upon cancellation, Yellow Dog will assess a $100.00 handling charge to all deposits and payments received. In addition, each individual lodge and destination may charge their own handling and/or administration fee. Please keep in mind that Yellow Dog and all clients must adhere to each individual lodge cancellation and refund policy. Lodges that have their own policies are listed in our Terms & Conditions section of the Yellow Dog website. For the few lodges that do not specify or list their own cancellation / refund policies, and for the lodges that have not published policies, then all cancellations will adhere to the following terms and conditions:

Cancellation within 90 days = 90% refund of the deposit or 90% transfer to another date or angler

Cancellation 60-90 days prior = 75% refund of payment received or 75% transfer to another date

Cancellation 30-60 days prior = 50% refund of payment received or 50% transfer to another date

Cancellation within 30 days = No refund of deposit or payment.
On cancellation notices less than 90 days, partial (75% - 90%) refunds/transfers may be made IF suitable replacement is provided by customer. Please view the regional list in the Terms & Conditions section of the Yellow Dog website to see what specific refund terms apply to each destination / lodge.
For the following destinations (listed below), the cancellation policies and conditions as outlined above DO NOT APPLY. These destinations have their own cancellation and refund policies that apply for all trips booked and take precedent over published Yellow Dog cancellation policies. Once again, receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts the cancellation / refund and responsibility clauses for the applicable operation / destination.
ALASKA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) Alaska fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
ARGENTINA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) Argentine fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
BAHAMAS CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICIES
Cancellation policies differ between each operation and lodge throughout the Bahamas. Please read each section below to see specific cancellation policies for each Bahamian operation/lodge. For cancellations outside of 90 days from start of trip, full amount of deposit or payment will be refunded or applied to a future trip booked within one year (minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) For cancellations inside of 90 days prior to start of trip, deposits will be applied in full to a future trip to be taken within one year of original date. No refunds will be issued within 90 days unless the cancelled package is resold.

There will be also no refund for any unused portion of the package. In no event will the lodges or their owners or managers shall be responsible for any cancellation of the services due to inclement weather, any event of force majeure, or any other reason beyond the control of the lodges, its owners or management.

For all cancellations to the above lodges, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing and the lodge. For cancellation outside of 90 days from start of trip, full amount will be refunded or applied to a future trip. Cancellation 60-89 days = 50% refund or 50% credit for a future trip. For cancellations within 60 days from start of trip, deposits and payments will not be refunded and may only be applied to a future trip to be taken within one year of original date.
Pelican Bay Resort / H20 Bonefishing (Grand Bahama, Bahamas)
For all cancellations, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing and the lodge. For cancellations outside of 90 days from start of trip, full amount minus the handling fee will be refunded or applied to a future trip booked within one year. Cancellation 45 to 89 days prior to start of trip = 50% refund of deposit. No refund or credit will be given for trips cancelled within 45 days from start of trip. If a cancelled package is resold then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge (in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.)
Stafford Creek Lodge (Andros Island, Bahamas)
For cancellations, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing and the lodge. Upon cancellation, Stafford Creek will deduct a $400.00 per person handling fee from deposits/payments received. For cancellation outside of 120 days from start of trip, full amount minus the $400.00 handling fee will be applied to a future trip booked within one year. Cancellation 90-119 days = 60% minus handling fee transferred. Cancellation 60-89 days = 40% minus handling fee transferred, all deposits and payments are non-refundable. Cancellation 30-59 days = 25% minus handling fee transferred, No credit will be given for trips cancelled within 30 days from start of trip. In the event of a hurricane or hurricane warning, 50% of cost of trip will be transferred to a future trip booked within one year.
Stella Maris Resort (Long Island, Bahamas)
Swain’s Cay Lodge (Andros Island, Bahamas)
For cancellations, both deposits and refunds are refundable outside of 30 days, minus a $100.00 processing fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing. Inside of 30 days, deposits and final payments are non-refundable. If a cancelled package is resold then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge (in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) Cape Santa Maria Resort (Long Island, Bahamas) For cancellations, both deposits and refunds are refundable outside of 60 days, minus a $100.00 processing fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing. Inside of 60 days, deposits and final payments are non-refundable. If a cancelled package is resold then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge (in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.)
Tiamo Resort (South Andros Island, Bahamas)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold all packages. This deposit is refundable up to 45 days prior to arrival subject to a 7% processing fee and a $100.00 processing fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing. For cancellations within 45 days prior to arrival, deposits and final payments are non-refundable. If a cancelled package is resold then a full refund will be sent minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by the lodge (in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.)
Bimini Big Game Club (Bimini, Bahamas)
For all cancellations, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing and the lodge. For cancellations outside of ten (10) days from start of trip, full amount of deposit or payment will be refunded or applied to a future trip booked within one year (minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) For cancellations inside of ten (10) days prior to start of trip, deposits and final payments are non-refundable.
BELIZE CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICIES
Cancellation policies differ between each lodge in Belize. Please read each section below to see specific cancellation policies for each Belizean operation/lodge. El Pescador Lodge (Ambergris Caye, Belize)
A NONREFUNDABLE deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, both deposits and refunds are non-refundable. Prior to 90 days from date of trip, 100% of deposit/final payment may be transferred to another date (within the next year) or angler. Turneffe Flats Lodge (Ambergris Caye, Belize)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, all deposits and/or final payments will be refunded up to 60 days prior to trip (minus any cancellation fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) Within 60 days from start of trip, deposits and/or final payments are NONREFUNDABLE unless Turneffe or Yellow Dog is able to resell your spot. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package.
Robert’s Grove Beach Resort and Robert’s Caye (Placencia, Belize)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, all deposits and/or final payments will be refunded up to 60 days prior to trip (minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by Robert’s Grove in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing). A 50% refund will be issued 45-60 days from start of trip (minus a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by Robert’s Grove in addition to any fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing). Inside of 45 days from start of trip, no refunds will be issued. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package. This policy applies to any reason for cancellation, including airline delays, strikes, world events, or personal issues.
Belize River Lodge and Long Caye Outopost Lodge (Belize City, Belize)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, all deposits and/or final payments will be refunded up to 120 days prior to start of trip (minus a $100.00 Belize River Lodge cancellation fee and the fee charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) Within 120 days from start of trip, deposits and/or final payments will be refunded ONLY if Belize River Lodge or Yellow Dog is able to resell your spot. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package.
Belcampo Lodge Belize (Punta Gorda, Belize)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, all deposits and/or final payments minus a 5% credit card fee will be refunded or transferred to another person up to 50 days prior to trip (also minus processing fees charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing). Inside of 50 days from start of trip, no refunds or transfers will be issued. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package. The unused portion of hotel and/or any part of the package plans and trips not taken by customer’s choice are non-transferable and not refundable. Trips cancelled or shortened as a result of inclement weather and/or acts of God including hurricanes or due to airline delays, strikes or political unrest are non-transferable and not refundable.
Whipray Caye Lodge (Placencia, Belize)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations up to 60 days prior to start of trip, all deposits will be rescheduled or transferred to another person up to one year from booking date (minus any cancellation fees charged by Whipray Caye and Yellow Dog Flyfishing.) Reservations cancelled after full payment has been made may be rescheduled or transferred to another person up to one year from booking date, based on availability. If satisfactory reschedule dates cannot be accommodated on a reservation that has been paid in full, and the cancellation is at least 60 days prior to the reservation dates, then 50% of the total payment will be refunded. Within 60 days from start of trip, deposits and/or final payments are NONREFUNDABLE unless Whipray or Yellow Dog is able to resell your spot. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package. If your trip is cancelled due to high winds with small craft warnings, a hurricane, tropical storms or some other catastrophic event, the lodge will make every effort to offer alternate dates, but there can be no guarantee that this will be possible. (This is why we STRONGLY recommend that you purchase trip insurance!) No refunds will apply for weather-related incidents
Garbutt’s Lodge (Punta Gorda, Belize)

Prior to 90 days from date of trip, 100% of deposit/final payment may be transferred to another date (within the next year) or angler. BRAZIL CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) Brazilian and Amazonian fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
CANADA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

Wollaston Lake Lodge (Saskatchewan)
You may cancel your reservation prior to forty-five (45) days of your arrival date and receive a full refund, minus a handling fee of $100.00 per person. Within forty five (45) days of the start of your trip, you are responsible for the full amount of your reservation, and both deposits and final payments are non-refundable. In the event of an emergency, the package may be transferred to another date or angler, based on availability within one year.
Nicholas Dean Outdoors (British Columbia)
Deposits will be refunded less a $300 cancellation fee if written notice of cancellation is received 180 days (6 months) before the scheduled trip. No penalty will be assessed if the client has an immediate replacement at the time of cancellation. If written notice is received less than 180 days (6 months) before the scheduled trip, the deposit will not be refunded, but if space is available your booking may be transferred to another later date in the same season less a $300 re booking fee. All deposits and final payments are only valid for the calendar year (March 15 to November 15), after which all deposits and final payments are forfeit. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
Pioneer Lodge (British Columbia)
If cancellation is received within 30 days of full settlement, 25% will be refunded. Cancellation within 30 days of arrival = no refund. All deposits and final payments are only valid for the calendar year (March 15 to November 15), after which all deposits and final payments are forfeit. No penalty will be incurred if the client has an immediate like for like replacement at the time of cancellation. This must be within the same calendar year and new dates acceptable to Pioneer Fishing Lodge. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
Dave Brown Outfitters (British Columbia)
If your cancellation is received at least sixty (60) days prior to you trip, DBO will honor your deposit for a trip at a later date. If canceling with less than 60 days notice your deposit will not be refunded. If canceled within 30 days of the start (day 1) of your trip you will be billed the full amount. Based on the circumstances of a cancellation, DBO reserves the right to apply the deposit to a trip at a later date.
Kootenay Fly Shop and Tightlines Lodge (British Columbia)
If your cancellation is received at least twenty one (21) days prior to you trip, Tightlines Lodge will refund your money less a one night cancellation fee. If canceling with less than twenty one (21) days’ notice your deposit will not be refunded. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
CHILE CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) Chilean fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
COSTA RICA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
Cancellation policies differ between the different lodges that we work with in Costa Rica. Please read each section below to see specific cancellation policies for each Costa Rican operation/lodge. IN ADDITION TO THE CANCELLATION POLICIES LISTED BELOW, Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. has the right to assess a $100.00 handling charge to all deposits and payments received.
Crocodile Bay Resort (Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica)
A deposit of 50% per person is due within 15 days of booking to hold both space and guides on all packages. No space or guides will be held without receipt of deposit. Full pre-payment is due 90 days prior to date of trip. All cancellations must be received in writing, sent to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, LLC. For cancellations, all deposits and/or final payments will be refunded up to 90 days prior to trip, minus a cancellation fee of $150.00 charged by the resort and $100.00 charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing. Inside of 90 days from start of trip, deposits and/or final payments are NONREFUNDABLE unless the lodge or Yellow Dog is able to resell your spot. No refunds are available for unused portions of any package.
GUATEMALA CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For all Guatemala fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made. If you must cancel your trip for any reason, we will try to re-sell your dates. If we are able to do so, a refund less $150.00 per person fee to the lodge and $100.00 to Yellow Dog ($250.00 total), will be given. However, if we are unable to re-sell your dates, you will lose your deposit and/or final payment. If you cancel your trip, for whatever reason, 75 days, or less, prior to your arrival date in Guatemala, all payments made on your trip will be non-refundable. Cancellations Due to Weather: If bad weather arises and your Captain determines that for safety sake the trip should not be taken on any specific day, you will receive a credit for that day’s fishing.
HONDURAS CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
For cancellations, all deposits and trip payments are non-refundable. Prior to 90 days from date of trip, 100% of deposit/final payment may be transferred to another date (within the next year) or another angler. Cancellations inside of 90 days will result in loss of all deposits and payments. All cancellations have a $100.00 processing fee per guest charged by Yellow Dog Flyfishing.
MEXICO & YUCATAN CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
Cancellation policies differ between certain lodges in the Yucatan and throughout the rest of the Mexico. Please read the sections below to see specific cancellation policies for operations/lodges that differ from the general Yellow Dog cancellation policies listed at the top of this page. IN ADDITION TO THE CANCELLATION POLICIES LISTED BELOW, upon cancellation Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. has the right to assess a $100.00 handling charge to all deposits and payments received.
Casa Blanca Lodge and Playa Blanca Lodge (Yucatan Peninsula)
A 50% deposit is required to secure your dates. If the reservation is made within 60 days of scheduled arrival at the lodge, payment in full is required in order to confirm the reservation. A full refund, less a $500.00 per person cancellation fee, will be made for written cancellations received by Yellow Dog and the lodge at least 60 days prior to the scheduled arrival at the property. There will be no refund for cancellations received within 60 days of the scheduled arrival. There will be no refunds made for unused portions of the land or fishing package or unused air charter. If your trip is cancelled due to a hurricane or some other catastrophic event, the lodge will make every effort to offer alternate dates, but there can be no guarantee that this will be possible. Pesca Maya Lodge (Yucatan Peninsula)
A 50% deposit is required to secure your dates. Final payment for all trips is due in full within 90 days of trip dates in order to confirm the reservation. For all cancellations submitted in writing to Yellow Dog received outside of 60 days of the scheduled arrival at the lodge, full refund minus a 10% lodge cancellation fee and a 10% Yellow Dog cancellation fee will be issued. If you cancel within 60 days of the start of your trip, deposit and final payment are not refundable. Depending on availability, you may be able to reschedule your trip for a later day (within one year) with a minimum of a 10% penalty. If rates are higher during new / rescheduled dates you will need to pay the difference. In the event of severe weather conditions such as tropical storms or hurricanes, your trip will be rescheduled. If you are already at the lodge, we will reschedule the number of days lost due to weather. No refunds will apply for weather-related incidents. As always, we STRONGLY recommend that you purchase trip insurance.
Grand Slam Lodge (Yucatan Peninsula)
If you cancel your booking outside of 60 days before your scheduled arrival date, you’ll be charged 10% of your deposit. Upon cancellation, Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. also has the right to assess a $100.00 handling charge to all deposits and payments received. Cancellations made 30 to 60 days before the arrival date are charged 50% of the total vacation stay. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the arrival date are charged the full amount of the vacation stay, and no refunds will be issued. If don’t arrive on your confirmed arrival date (for example, if you miss your flight), but still plan to get to the lodge, inform us of your new arrival date. You’ll still be charged for the original vacation booking, and are entitled to the remaining nights in the reservation. If you add extra nights to your original booking, they will be considered a new booking, and standard rates and conditions apply. Under the threat of a hurricane, Grand Slam will evacuate the lodge. Refunds will not be granted, which is why we STRONGLY recommend that you purchase trip insurance.
Holbox Tarpon Lodge (Isla Holbox, Yucatan Peninsula)
For all trip cancellations, a full refunds will be given (less a $200.00 per person booking fee to the lodge and a $100.00 handling charge to Yellow Dog) if written cancellation is received 120 or more days before arrival. After that, 50% of all payments will be refunded if written notice is received 60 to 119 days prior to arrival. Within 60 days of the start of the trip, all payments received are 100% non-refundable. Great Alaska Adventure Lodge highly recommends trip insurance. No refunds will be given for services, activities or accommodations voluntarily not participated in by the guest. It is the responsibility of guests to provide written notification of any health or dietary concerns that may affect trip prior to final payment. Fuel surcharges may be added to reflect market conditions.
Cancun, Tulum, Playa Del Carmen and Riviera Maya Day Trip (Yucatan Peninsula)

For cancellations, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing and the lodge. Upon cancellation, La Pescadora will deduct a $100.00 per person handling fee from deposits/payments received. For cancellation outside of 120 days from start of trip, full amount minus the handling fee will be applied to a future trip booked within one year. Cancellation 90-119 days = 60% minus handling fee transferred. Cancellation 60-89 days = 40% minus handling fee transferred. Cancellation 30-59 days = 25% minus handling fee transferred, No credit will be given for trips cancelled within 30 days from start of trip. In the event of a hurricane or hurricane warning, 50% of cost of trip will be transferred to a future trip booked within one year.
OREGON/WASHINGTON CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY
The Deschutes Angler (Oregon)
Cancellation/Date Change outside of ninety (90) days = 90% refund of the deposit or 90% transfer to another date. Sixty-one (61) - ninety (90) days prior = 75% refund of the deposit or 75% transferred to another date. Thirty (30) - sixty (60) days out = 50% refund of full trip payment and the eposits will not be refunded. A date change thirty (30) - sixty (60) days out = 50% of your full trip payment can be transferred to another date. You forfeit the deposit. Cancellation within thirty (30) days = No refund of trip payment. Date changes within thirty (30) days are treated as a cancellation.
Yamsi Ranch (Oregon)
A 50% deposit is required at time of booking to secure dates. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation.
Brazda’s Flyfishing Washington (Washington)
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE. In the event of conditions deemed to be unfishable, your NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be transferred to another open date. The client may reschedule up to forty-five (45) days prior to their date. If you cancel within forty-five (45) to thirty (30) days of your scheduled date you will be charged 50% of the total trip costs. Cancellations within thirty (30) days of scheduled date the client is responsible for the full price of their booking.
RUSSIA (KAMCHATKA) CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY

For all Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures, L.L.C. (YDFA) Alphonse Island and Desroches fishing packages, both deposits and final payments are non-refundable — unless a client is replaced. Both deposit and final payment can be transferred to another client for those same (original) dates. Yellow Dog reserves the right to charge a minimum handling fee of $100.00 per person for date changes after the initial reservation has been made.
Farquhar, Seychelles
For cancellations, written notice must be given to Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. If a cancellation is made 12 months or more prior to departure, then 50% of the deposit will be forfeited. For cancellations made 12 to 6 months prior to departure, 50% of the total charter rate shall be forfeited. For cancellations made 6 months or less prior to departure, the full individual charter rate shall be forfeited. Reservations for which payment are not received as on time as per the terms are subject to cancellation by FCA seven days after notification. In case of cancellation by Flycastaway, all money received will be paid back in full excluding bank charges. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Full deposits (minus a cancellation for of $100.00 charged by Yellow Dog and $100.00 charged by Flycastaway) will only be refunded if a replacement can be found. The ship reserves the right to cancel a trip due to bad weather conditions. At time of quote, all flight charges, island fees and government taxes are correct but nonetheless are subject to change without prior notice. All guests must have a comprehensive medical emergency evacuation insurance policy, as well as a travel insurance policy to cover them for the duration of the trip. It is the right of the live-aboard service provider to cancel any booking without refund if the client is not adequately insured. All guests will be required to sign and return the Reservation and Indemnity Form prior to the trip.

Absaroka Beartooth Outfitters (Montana)
The 50% deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. The balance of the cost of the trip is due ninety (90) days prior to trip date and is NON-REFUNDABLE. Trips not fully paid by thirty (30) days prior to the trip will be considered cancelled.
Bighorn Angler Lodge and Fly Shop (Montana)
No refunds will be issued for cancellations within thirty (30) days of your scheduled trip. If you cancel your trip outside of thirty (30) days there will be a 10% processing fee to refund your deposit, if paid by credit card.
Bighorn River Lodge (Montana)
You may cancel your reservation prior to forty-five (45) days of your arrival date and receive a full refund, minus a handling fee of $100.00 per person. Within forty-five (45) days of the start of your trip, you are responsible for the full amount of your reservation, and both deposits and final payments are non-refundable. In the event of an emergency, the package may be transferred to another date or angler, based on availability within one year.
Gallatin River Lodge (Montana)
Cancellation or change of all or part of your trip before your scheduled arrival is handled on the following schedule: 90 days or more - Refund of deposit less $50 handling fee. 7 to 89 days - GRL will provide a credit of 50% of the deposit for up to one season following the season of cancellation OR apply the deposit to a reservation for other dates in the same calendar year if available. 1 to 6 days - Full Deposit is forfeited. Groups taking 3 rooms or more are responsible for full payment 30 days prior to arrival. Gallatin River Lodge cannot make refunds for late cancellations due to medical, family, or business emergencies or other unexpected events.
Henry’s Fork Anglers (Idaho)
All deposits are non-refundable unless notice of cancellation is received no less than sixty (60) days prior to fishing dates. There will be no refunds on cancellations less than sixty (60) days prior to fishing dates. Request bookings for specific guides are nonrefundable. Clients arriving late or departing early are liable for full payment for all dates of their original reservation. For large groups with eight (8) or more clients and corporate bookings, all payments are non-refundable. Groups and clients arriving late or departing early (in part or in full) are liable for full payment for all dates of their original reservation.
Henry’s Fork Lodge (Idaho)
A Cancellation or change of all or part of your trip before scheduled arrival:
Forty (45) days or more: Receive refund of deposit less $40
Eight (8) to forty-four (44) days: Forfeit deposit unless you find replacement*
Zero (0) to seven (7) days: You are responsible for full payment
Groups taking four (4) rooms or more will have deposit refunded until one-hundred and eighty (180) days prior to arrival, and are responsible for full payment one-hundred and twenty (120) days prior to arrival.
Kelly Galloup’s Slide Inn (Montana)
Deposits are refundable for any changes made prior to thirty (30) days before your scheduled arrival date. After this date you are responsible for your entire reservation regardless of the reason for cancellation. Credit card cancellations will be charged an additional 5% to cover our processing fees. There are also no early checkouts. If you should decide to leave before your original departure date, you will still be charged in full for your entire booked stay.
Madison Valley Ranch (Montana)
A 50% deposit is due upon 14 days of booking to secure the reservation. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. If you are interested, we can work with you to set up trip insurance. In case of a cancellation, the deposit if fully refundable less a $200 processing fee per person if the cancellation is made prior to 90 days of arrival. For cancellations within 90 days of arrival, 50% of the deposit will be credited to a future lodge trip to be taken within one year of the cancellation, and the remaining deposit is non-refundable. If a cancellation must be made within 30 days of arrival, 25% of the package price will be credited to a future lodge trip to be taken within one year of the cancellation. Unfortunately, the balance is a cancellation fee to cover the costs and inability to rebook the trip on such short notice. Because of our intimate size and reliance on advanced bookings, we must make no exceptions to our cancellation policy. If you are at all concerned with a cancellation possibility, we strongly encourage you to purchase trip insurance.
Natural Retreats - South Fork Lodge (Idaho)
Deposits are fully refundable, less a 10% cancellation fee, if cancelled at least 90 days before arrival. Cancellations received within 90 days of arrival will have a cancellation fee of 20% charged and the balance of the deposit applied to a future reservation, or refunded if we are able to fill the cancelled space. A $25.00 feeis charged for date changes. Late arrival/early departure – Late arrival and early departure causes a forfeiture of that portion of the deposit and package amount. For South Fork Lodge Day Trips: Should a Guest cancel a reservation more than sixty (60) days before the scheduled arrival date, the twenty-five percent (25%) deposit will be refunded. Should a Guest cancel a reservation more than forty five (45) days but less than sixty (60) days before the scheduled arrival date, fifty percent (50%) of the total cost of the reservation will be refunded. Should a Guest cancel a reservation more than thirty (30) days but less than forty five (45) days before the scheduled arrival date, twenty five percent (25%) of the total cost of the reservation will be refunded. Should a Guest cancel a reservation less than thirty (30) days before the scheduled arrival date, there shall be no refund. Guests who are lodging with Natural Retreats who have specific guide requests will be assigned those guides at the time of booking on a first come, first serve basis. Sixty (60) days prior to the booking, if a guide has not been requested by a Guest who is lodging with Natural Retreats, that guide can be guaranteed to a day trip fisherman upon request on a first come, first serve basis.
Linehan Outfitting Co. (Montana)
If your reservation is cancelled sixty (60) days prior to your visit, your deposit will be refunded, less a $100 cancellation fee. For cancellations within sixty (60) days of your scheduled arrival, the full deposit amount will be retained.
The Lodge at Eagle Rock (Montana)
You may cancel your reservation prior to sixty (60 days of your arrival date and receive a full refund, minus a handling fee of $100.00 per person. Within sixty (60) days of the start of your trip, you are responsible for the full amount of your reservation, and both deposits and final payments are non-refundable. In the event of an emergency, the package may be transferred to another date or angler, based on availability within one year.
The Lodge at Palisades Creek (Idaho)
A $75.00 cancellation fee will be charged on reservations cancelled ninety (90) days prior to the scheduled arrival. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE unless notice of cancellation is received more than ninety (90) days prior to fishing or lodging dates. Request bookings for specific guides are non-refundable. Clients arriving late or departing early are liable for full payment for all dates of their original reservation.
Missouri River Ranch (Montana)
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. Refunds are not issued for stays shorter than the original reservation. If you notify us of a change in your plans at least thirty (30) days prior to your scheduled arrival date, then your deposit can be applied to new dates during the same calendar year only and subject to availability. Without thirty (30) days notification, deposits are completely forfeited.
Ruby Springs Lodge (Montana)
Deposits for any cancellations made more than ninety (90) days prior to arrival date will be refunded in their entirety. Deposits for cancellations made less than ninety (90) days from arrival date will be subject to forfeiture unless the same dates are sold at full price. Refunds are not issued for stays shorter than the original reservation.
Smith River Float Trips (Montana)
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your dates. This deposit will be applied to a future rescheduled trip if cancellation occurs with more than 120 days notice.
Sunrise Pack Station (Montana)
In the event of a cancellation 50% of the total trip cost, (the trip minus the deposit), will be refunded at any time. The deposit is non-refundable. Sunrise Pack Station, LLC reserves the right to cancel the trip due to forest fire. Sunrise Pack Station, LLC will not be held responsible for any cancellation, or for any of your expenses incurred as a result of this cancellation. All trip fees and deposits will be refunded or credited to the following year.

YELLOW DOG FLYFISHING ADVENTURES, L.L.C. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following terms and conditions apply to all tours organized by Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures. By signing up for a Yellow Dog tour or packaged trip, each customer accepts all aspects of these terms and conditions.
Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures and its principals and agents, are not responsible for, and do not assume responsibility for, the acts or omissions of any third-party contractors, outfitters, airlines, railroads, ship owners, charter air carriers, shuttle and taxi drivers, hotels, lodges, independent fishing guides or other service providers engaged by Yellow Dog on behalf of the tour member, or the tour member directly, in connection with any tour.
Further, the tour member is subject to the tariffs, terms, and conditions of all tickets, vouchers, and contracts of such hotels, airlines, railroads, operators, owners and contractors issued in connection with the tour, and the issuance and acceptance of any such tickets, vouchers and contracts shall be deemed to be consent to such conditions.
Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures in its sole discretion reserves the right to: (1) make such alterations in the tour itinerary as it deems necessary or desirable, (2) to refuse to accept or retain as a member of the tour party any person at any time (in such case refund will be based on the actual cost of the unfinished portion of tour), and (3) to pass on to tour members all expenditures occasioned by delays or occurrences beyond their control.
Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel any tour prior to departure, in which case full refunds will constitute full settlement to the tour member. Prices quoted are based on foreign exchange values and tariffs currently in effect, and prices are subject to change.
Baggage and personal effects of tour members, including items purchased, are the sole responsibility of such tour members at all times and no agent of Yellow Dog is authorized to accept these for storage, safekeeping, or transportation.

Do you recommend trip insurance for all trips?
At Yellow Dog Flyfishing, L.L.C., we strongly recommend that our clients purchase either basic trip cancellation protection for all angling packages and vacations, Global Rescue trip evacuation insurance (if you are headed somewhere remote), or BOTH! While the fact is that most destination anglers will never need travel insurance or rescue-evac insurance, the reality is that every once in a while, someone will. And – if you're the one who needs it – you will feel like it is one of the best investments you ever made. Here at Yellow Dog, we recommend and work with two insurance and evac operators: Sportsman's Travel Insurance for basic trip insurance, and Global Rescue for emergency evacuation policies.

Is Global Rescue Medical Evacuation Insurance a good idea?
When you travel to remote locations, chances are good that your personal medical insurance won’t bring you home or get you the emergency medical care you need. Global Rescue will, and in the worst case scenarios, it is a policy that could save your life. Yellow Dog Flyfishing Adventures works hard to ensure you have a safe and exhilarating experience while on our trips, but unavoidable incidents unfortunately do happen. Any time you have an illness or injury requiring hospitalization or face imminent bodily harm more than 160 miles from home, Global Rescue will reach you, stabilize you and bring you home, by whatever means necessary. Global Rescue memberships are all inclusive and have no deductibles or hidden costs. Memberships are available in short term, single-trip options or annual plans protecting all travels, both domestic and international. Standard Trip Insurance is an important financial planning instrument but is not designed to provide immediate emergency services.

What if I am a single angler? Are there any packages or options where I don't have to pay a large single supplement fee?
Absolutely. We have a handful of lodges throughout the world where single rooms and single occupancy are a part of the package. Other times, we may be able to pair you up with another single angler, whereby securing you a double occupancy rate instead of a single supplement charge. And finally, we organize and offer a number of hosted trips throughout the world on a regular basis. This is a great way to enjoy a fantastic week of fishing with a fun group of anglers and a host who really knows the area, the guides, the fishing, and the overall operation.
